A friend of mine wanted to give back to his community, and decided to run for State Delegate. He used a photo I had taken of him for his campaign photo, and invited me to photograph his watch party on election night. He was elected, and the joy of his supporters was fun to capture. The event was held in Bowman's Soul-in-the-Wall, in Hampton. The owner, Randy Bowman, himself a local politician, was gracious and contributed to the excitement of the event. There was a spirit of kindness throughout the evening, and it was fun to be there.
